Tax Technology - Where do we start?!

Where do we start? Where do I start?! ”Tax technology” can be a confusingly broad term, sounding deceptively simple for what is without a doubt, the most complex of areas that TPI Search recruits for. Not only are there distinctly different tax tech service offerings between Big 4 firms. There are also differently marketed offerings within the same firm and service line but in different countries! It’s taken a lot of time but this is what we’re here for - to help professionals cut through the buzzwords and understand where the strong teams with the serious credentials in this space really are.

Tax technology is an exciting, dynamic and fast growing area. For professionals who are working in an international accountancy/consulting firm or in-house environment, the opportunities for personal growth are endless. With the clients that we’re working with (market leaders in their field), the promotion pathway can be super quick but more importantly, the technical complexity and opportunities to manage large scale transformation projects is attractive to many. Geographical scope is not just limited to Europe, we’re specifically interested in professionals who want to develop their project experience with clients in the UAE and KSA whilst working from Europe.

If you’re a tax professional who originally trained in direct tax but has gradually moved their career into a tax tech/transformation focused direction, we’d love to hear from you. Key areas such as tax process redesign and optimisation, tax transformation, operating model redesign, tax technology roadmap and tax provisioning/ reporting may all be core components of your role.
